Z cyklu muzea morskie/jednostki muzealne ... cz. 4 - TIGER

TIGER (IMO ---, MMSI: 211367950, Sygnał wywoławczy: DH7970, bandera: Niemcy) – holownik parowy zbudowany w 1910 roku przez niemiecką stocznię Janssen & Schmilinsky z Hamburga na zamówienie hamburskiego armatora Ewerführerei Jürgen Hinrich Steffen, w barwach którego przez następne 56 lat świadczył usługi holownicze na terenie portu oraz Dolnej Łaby. Po wycofaniu z eksploatacji, przez kolejne 12 lat holownik utrzymywany był w rezerwie i gdy już sądzono, że kolejnym etapem będzie sprzedaż na złom, w styczniu 1978 roku TIGER został zakupiony dzięki pomocy gazety Hamburger Abendblatt oraz prywatnych sponsorów przez Museumhafen Oevelgönne z Hamburga. W latach 1997 – 2001 w położonej w dzielnicy Hamburg-Harburg stoczni Johnk, holownik przeszedł gruntowny remont oraz renowację, po której z powodzeniem pełni rolę pływającego muzeum.

TIGER (IMO ---, MMSI: 211367950, call sign: DH7970, flag: Germany) – a steam tug built in 1910 by the German shipyard Jannsen & Schmilinsky from Hamburg on the order of the Hamburg shipowner Ewerführerei Jürgen Hinrich Steffen, in the colors of which for the next 56 years he was providing towing services in the port and the Lower Elbe. After decommissioning, for the next 12 years the tugboat was kept in reserve and when it was thought that the next stage would be sale for scrap, in January 1978 TIGER was purchased thanks to the Hamburger Abendbaltt newspaper and private sponsors by Museumhafen Oevelgönne from Hamburg. In the years 1997 – 2001, the tugboat unsderwent a major refurbishment and renovation after which it successfully served as a floating museum.
